At Crown Family Jewellers we endeavour to ensure that you have a pleasant shopping experience, If you are unhappy about your purchase or would like to refund or exchange your purchase, please be aware of certain ACCC obligations that are in place to protect the consumer and businesses.
Goods sold before 1 January 2011 came with a number of conditions and warranties that were implied by the Trade Practices Act.
These goods must be:
Of merchantable quality”that is, goods need to reach a basic level of quality given the price of the goods and any description that is provided with the goods.
Fit for the purpose or job that the consumer described to you or that are self-evident.
Match any description or sample given to the consumer whether in promotional material, over the phone, in person, on a website or on labelling or packaging
Are free from defects and faults.
These goods mustn't have any debt or financing owed on them, i.e. the consumer should have free title to the goods.
If the goods we have sold do not fulfil any of these conditions then you may be entitled to a refund on return of the goods.
Consumers may also choose an alternative remedy to a refund. In these circumstances Crown Family Jewellers may want to offer an exchange, a credit note or to repair the goods.
Crown Family Jewellers have the right to ask for proof of purchase from the consumer, for example, a receipt or credit record.
Crown Family Jewellers are not obliged to provide a refund, credit or exchange if you have:
Changed your mind, decided you no longer want the goods or just don™t like them, or found that goods are the wrong size or colour.
Found that you can buy the same or similar goods elsewhere for a cheaper price.
Examined goods before buying them and should have seen any fault at that time.
Had a defect drawn to your attention before they purchased goods, for example, when goods are clearly labelled as seconds or faulty.
In this instance Crown Family Jewellers are happy to offer an exchange or credit note if the goods are returned within 7 days of receipt in their original packaging.
In the event we organize a refund for you, it will be processed as credit to the credit card used to place the order in our website. If the credit card is linked to a bank account the refund will be done as credit in that bank account. Usually the refunds take within 5“7 business days (depending on your bank).
Owing to the nature of being a boutique jeweller, selected products are subjected to a limited availability or oversell. In the event of this occurrence, one of our friendly team members will contact the specified contact number within an arranged time frame so as to organize a similar product of same or greater value. Alternatively, these cases can be individually assessed by Crown Family Jewelers.
Please inform us as soon as possible if you are eligible for return of goods purchased so we can rectify any issues quickly.

Where we deliver
We will deliver to most addresses within Australia, but do not currently deliver to international locations (If you are an international Client please contact us prior to your purchase so we can arrange something for you). We require a street address for delivery “ unfortunately we cannot deliver to a P.O. Box. Some remote locations cannot be serviced. However collections are available from our stores.
The locations we can deliver to may change from time-to-time. Please contact us if you are unsure to find out if we deliver to your location.
How and when we deliver
All deliveries are made 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday by Crown Family Jewellers chosen carrier. For orders placed before 4.00pm on a weekday, please allow from the confirmation of dispatch:
4-6 working days for delivery to a capital city in any State
5-10 working days for delivery to most large regional towns, and
7-14 working days for delivery to other remote locations.
Please note that these delivery times are estimates only, and actual delivery times may vary. If you require delivery ASAP please contact us and if possible we will endeavour to organize an overnight parcel for you.
Items may be delivered to you individually and/or separately by different couriers and transport agencies.
Cost of delivery
We are Happy to offer a Flat rate of $15 for delivery Australia wide, to standard delivery areas
Acceptance of delivery
Deliveries must be signed for, and anyone at the delivery address who receives the products shall be presumed by Crown Family Jewellers to be authorised to receive the products.
Unfortunately Crown Family Jewellers and its carriers are unable to provide an estimate of the delivery time. If you are unsure if you will be available at the delivery address during the delivery hours, we recommend nominating a work address or address of a family member who will be present during the delivery hours. In the instance someone is not able to sign for your delivery, Crown Family Jeweller's carrier will leave a card. When delivered by Australia Post you will need to collect your delivery from the closest Post Office. Any other carrier you will need to contact them directly to make alternative delivery arrangements, which may include a re-delivery fee charged by Crown Family Jewellers if re-delivery is required.
Please note that risk for loss or damaged product passes to the customer upon delivery of the product(s) by the courier.
